He's Up!

Carter can now pull himself up and hang out for a while. He really likes Mason's garage and even managed to get himself stuck on it the other day when he tried to reach over to pick up a car. He's also into bouncing - especially when you're holding him, or rocking him to sleep.

"Mrs. Cone - please call the daycare"

If I had $1 for every time I've heard that in the last month...... this morning the call was to pick up Carter who had thrown up and was having diarhea. Not too surprising since he's still on antibiotics for his ear infection, which he's been taking for a full two weeks - and there's a bit of a bug going around town right now. So, Carter and I headed home and he got to spend a day alone with Momo!

Loving from Auntie Kristen

Auntie Kristen and Grace drove all the way to Nixon to give Mommy her birthday card, and yummy cake, so we treated them to a little birthday dinner in town at Mommy's favorite mexican place in town. Carter loved getting some special loving, and Mason loved playing with Grace (see Mason's blog for that picture).

Gimme Some Lovin!

Carter got some good lovin' from his Auntie Kristen. She and Grace drove in to surprise Mommy with a hand-made birthday card and cake. We were so excited to see them, we treated them and we all had a nice birthday dinner downtown at Mommy's favorite place in town, Enchiladita! Yummmm!

Ear Infection, part 3?

Well once again, we missed our scheduled follow-up by two days and ended up at the doctor's office for yet another (or is this the same one???) ear infection. I knew we wouldn't make it to the appointment when he started having a clear runny nose, pulling on his ears, and not sleeping through the night. This time Carter was nice enough to share his ear infection with his big brother - so they both got medicine this time. What a wonderful early birthday present for mommy!!!

Weight: 22 pounds, 7 ounces at exactly 8 months old

A Day at the Zoo

We bought the family pass to the zoo and took advantage of a bad weather day. We started with breakfast in town, then off to the zoo. Carter really enjoyed the Tiny Tots area, and wasn't even afraid of these sheep. Too bad we didn't have any swim diapers because there was an awesome little beach area. We did enjoy the special area for nursing moms in the restroom. The Zoo wins our vote for most family-friendly place to go!
