Merry Christmas 2009!

Carter gave Mommy some Christmas love this morning (which Mommy really needed since we had an early-morning visit to the ER with Mason!). Carter got into his stocking, and really loved his lollipop - in fact he tried to open his presents holding on to his lollipop! He really liked all his presents, and Mason's presents!

And there were sheep.....

This year the boys participated in the Nativity story at our church's Christmas Eve service. They were both sheep, and each had their own shepherd they were to stay with. Carter started off doing a great job standing perfect with his shepherd (I think Carter really liked the up-close view he had of the real live baby Jesus, or Delilah!) until a little ways into the gospel. He tried to make his brother stray with him, but Mason was telling him "no, don't do that". At the end, Carter was all smiles and clapping!

Road to Recovery

After a little sickness, Mommy and Daddy decided Carter was well enough to finally leave the house, so we took him to cash in a Build-a-Bear gift card. He was able to pick his own animal, wihtout any prompting from big brother, and he found a puppy! He loves puppy dogs (as long as they are behind a fence or far away!) so this was perfect! And on the way home, he got a Christmas card from Whamie and Pepaw and he was sooooo excited because it had Rudolph on it, and Carter is very into reindeers this year!

Sick Baby!

Mommy almost went an entire semester without getting a call from daycare to pick up a sick kiddo! Carter threw up at school on Tuesday (from all the phlem he had been coughing the night before, probably), and so we went to see the doctor on Wednesday. The RSV test came back positive this time! We started breathing treatments every 2 hours, some antibiotics and a steroid, and reported back to the doctor on Thursday.
Thursday we had to go across the street for a chest xray and luckily is was not pneumonia, but it was bronchitis, on top of RSV! More breathing treatments and a follow up to the doctor on Friday.
Friday the breathing sounded so much better, we can wean off breathing treatments, but added a daily dose of Pulmicort from here on out as a prevention. He is doing much better now, even though he had a rough night of some massive diarhea. Just in time for Santa!
