Back to the River, AGAIN!

So we loaded up the truck and headed to the river, again! We love this place!
It's perfect for the little ones and they are comfortable enough to have fun. The water was actually up a little today, but that didn't stop Carter from just splashing in.

The boys had fun filling their hats with water and splashing it on their heads - kept them cool!

And Carter had fun bonding with his alligator!

The Little Gym

One of Carter's friends from school had a birthday party at The Little Gym - what a great place! The kids first gathered in a circle for some songs and introduction, then had free time to just run around and explore the gym. They jumped, rolled, hung, played balloons, and more! What a fun party, and a great way to get some energy out of some busy boys! Carter especially liked the Elmo birthday cake and goodies!

Cool Dude, Carter

So he's still drooling A LOT, but look how cool he is in his brother's spiderman sunglasses! Our Little Red really has his own personality now, and a little temper to go with that red hair! Isn't he just the coolest?!!

Summer Fun

Luckily Whamie and Pepaw are not under water restrictions, so the boys were able to have fun in their new water park. They both love the water and Carter REALLY wanted to spend more time splashing. Thanks Whamie and Pepaw!

Fun with Friends

On the way back home from the river, we stopped for a burger at BIGZ - a GREAT place to eat with the kiddos! It's like one of our favorites MoMak's because it has a large area out back where the kiddos can run free! We took in our river toys but they had run just running after each other, and rolling down the hill. And the food is AWESOME - thanks so much, Jenni!!!
*If you go there, start with an order of chips and end with a shake - yummmmmm!!!

Back to the River

Carter enjoyied another day at Guadalupe River State Park, with Aunt Jenni and Sam! He really enjoys spending time throwing rocks (or anything else for that matter!) and digging for them in the water. He got in and swam a bit today and the funniest thing he did was to jump up and fall into the river on his bottom. He was conked out before we got out of the park - what a great day!

Date Night for Mommy & Daddy

After our long day at the river, the boys were acting a little silly - something about "heiney's" (sp?). Anyways, thank God for grandmas - Mommy and Daddy had a date night and went to the Alamo Drafthouse to see The Proposal. It was a neat place and we had a great time, and saw a GREAT movie!

Guadalupe River State Park

Thanks to Facebook and Mommy connecting with old college friends, we spent the day at Guadalupe River State Park. It is a beautiful park and doesn't take long to get to for us. We parked and found a great spot near "the big tree". The boys were a little hesitant at first but it didn't take too long before they warmed up to getting into the water. They made several new friends, and just had a great time. It was a nice, quiet ride home!!!

Twin Thursday - part 2

Here's Carter with the "babies!" again. He likes seeing any and all babies wherever he is, but these are his babies! Especially Gracyn! This time he even got to help give Gracyn her bottle. He is a big helper in giving the babies their "paci", even when the baby doesn't need or want it! He is talking more and more these days!

Twin Thursday - part 1

From June!

Mommy helped "Aunt" Jenny while she was out of town on business and watched the babies for the day. Carter is already smitten with Gracyn, so he always has to hold her and give her kisses. Carter has gotten to really like having his pictures taken and will stop and say "cheese" for you, until you take his picture!

Wes-ey

Carter couldn't be any more in love with his big bro Wesley. He missed him so much when Wesley was visiting his friend and Whamie and Pepaw - as soon as we picked him up from school he would say "Wesey? Wesey?".

Swimming Lessons

Tonight was Carter's first swimming lessons. He's been doing well at the pool lately so we figured he'd be okay at lessons. He was fine until we were singing the song and sprinkling water on his head. He kicked good with the tube when he went in the tunnel, but not so much when he was on his back. He liked climbing and going down the slide, and even went underwater quite a bit - and still did okay! The last picture is as we were on our way out of the pool. Next week Mommy will remember no mascara - not sure who's face is scarier!

Happy 4th of July!

We started the 4th of July at the Schertz parade with the Hanna's and had a great time, thanks to Uncle John's canopy! The boys had their matching flag shirts on and so did Mommy and Daddy. Later on, Jenny, Lonnie and the kids came over to help Daddy celebrate his birthday with steaks from Momo, yum!!! Here's Carter with his little girlfriend Gracyn.

My Girlfriend Gracyn

Since Jenny is Carter's godmother, and I'm Gracyn's godmother - could they be godbrother and godsister?!! Whatever it is, Carter definitely loves this little baby! He likes all babies and loves watching them, but anytime Gracyn and Gage are around, Carter will gravitate towards Gracyn and give her kisses.
