Carter loves to read!

Carter got a Tag Junior from John and Brittany for Christmas and he has really enjoyed it! It's pretty neat if you haven't seen it - we highly recommend it! Carter usually reads one of the book with animals and when he gets to the animals, it sings a song, and he'll bounce along to the music. Here he's reading an Elmo book about faces.

Happy Spring Break - NOT!

Carter was at the doctor's office last week because he was up all night coughing and crying, with a slight fever. He got better, but then just a day ago, it happened again. So, since it's the last day of spring break I made the call to get him in to see the doctor. Good call!

She checked his ears, nose, and throat and all looked good, but she didn't like what she heard when she was listening to his chest. His pulse oxygen wasn't bad, but she ordered chest xrays just to make sure.

We headed across the street for some pictures, Carter even got a cute little robe and was ready to go - until he got into the imaging room!

Carter was not very fond of having to sit on the edge of the table and get xrays taken. Mommy finally had to suit up, along with another nurse, to help hold him while holding his hands up so they could get a good picture.

Cool dude fast asleep on the way to the pharmacy to pick up his antibiotics. Poor baby!

Fishing at the Tank

We spent the day in Nixon at Whamie and Pepaw house with the rest of the Cone's. We loaded up the mule and headed for the tank for a little fishing.

Carter did pretty good, for the most part. Several times he would get up and walk around, still holding his fishing pole, tangling the string up everywhere!

He was a big help to his cousin Cook when Cook caught a fish - Carter thought he needed some help to catch it so brought up the net!

Big brother caught a fish, and Mommy even caught two. Carter caught "another one", each time he reeled his line in --- we kept the little plastic fish on his line that came with the pole, and he didn't know any different!

Water Boy

The rain has finally ended so we started the sprinkler system, and this was a whole new adventure for Carter. He loved touching and playing in the water, and didn't seem to mind one bit that he was soaking wet!

Carter is such a little Pa the way he gives his kisses away! In fact, I had to laugh (and even get a picture!) of him pulling my shirt to get me close so that he could give me a kiss! Such a cuddle big!

He was also all love for Aunt Denee' - it was great getting to see her. Great Pa died February 12th, so all the cousins made it in for his funeral! It really was a joyous time!

More random updates!

We found a neat Mexican restaurant by the house that serves kids meals FREE on Mondays, and they always have someone who makes balloon animals. We try to go there every other week or so, and this is Carter's latest animal - a giraffe just about as big as he is! These balloon people are pretty impressive.

Carter does NOT like going to sleep. He will do whatever he can to get out of bed and not sleep - even pretend to try to brush his teeth. Doesn't normally brush his teeth, but he'll do so if he can get out of his bed! He usually will go and get a drink of water too!

The boys all dressed up for Cowboy Breakfast at daycare. Mason was sporting a little leather jacket Momo had from her teaching days years ago.
