18 month stats

At his 18 month checkup, Carter is sitting at the 75%ile of both height and weight. He weighs 27 1/2 pounds and is 33 1/4" tall. His tubes are looking good so far and he seems to be growing and developing as he should. He's trying to say a lot of words - he'll say Mama, Dada, ball, duck, moo, and bird. He loves watcing the birds at the bird feeder, and anytime he sees balloons he stops in his tracks. He didn't have any shots today but he did get a TB test and a toe prick for lead and anemia testing - and he did great! He just sat there and watched the nurse to it, while I had to turn my head!

So maybe I'm just a nervous mommy, but I'm still using cotton balls in Carter's ears for bathtime, just to make sure the tubes stay dry! He's gotten used to the cotton balls but still doesn't care for them. He seems to have done real well with the surgery. He has a little bit of a snotty/runny nose right now and he was playing with his ear a little this weekend, but then we noticed Mason was "tickling" Carter's ears so that might be why?!! He has his 18 month checkup this week so we'll update with stats after that appointment. Doesn't he have the cutest little tongue?!!
