Mommy almost went an entire semester without getting a call from daycare to pick up a sick kiddo! Carter threw up at school on Tuesday (from all the phlem he had been coughing the night before, probably), and so we went to see the doctor on Wednesday. The RSV test came back positive this time! We started breathing treatments every 2 hours, some antibiotics and a steroid, and reported back to the doctor on Thursday. Thursday we had to go across the street for a chest xray and luckily is was not pneumonia, but it was bronchitis, on top of RSV! More breathing treatments and a follow up to the doctor on Friday.
Friday the breathing sounded so much better, we can wean off breathing treatments, but added a daily dose of Pulmicort from here on out as a prevention. He is doing much better now, even though he had a rough night of some massive diarhea. Just in time for Santa!
